This page is dedicated to the favorite summer past time of many man (and even some women). here you will find tips, tricks, techniques, advice on equipment, and maybe even a few recipes.

Memorial Day is frequently considered the start of the summer and the beginning of BBQ season. Father’s Day is said to be the biggest BBQ day of the year. This is followed by Independence Day and Labor Day and there are a host of weekends in between. In honor of the season, I will be posting a series of tips, tricks, and techniques pertaining to my favorite past time.

The BBQ 101 series is a presentation of basic BBQ tips and tricks. It is an introduction to the world of BBQ.

The BBQ 201 series contains recipes and complete menus and information on more advanced topics like tailgating and going mobile. This series should begin posting in the fall of 2010.

BBQ 301 is not yet in the planning stage. But it may contain information on more advanced topics like making and smoking bacon, sausage, or ham, building your own smokehaus, deep frying turkeys, preparing a turducken, or spit roasting a whole hog or side of beef.
